West Baltimore Farmers Market Grand Opening Celebration
West Baltimore MARC TOD | Transportation, Inc. leaders have been working hard over the past year to expand and maintain a farmers’ market at the West Baltimore MARC train station.
Through its central location at a key transit node, the West Baltimore Farmers Market will bring fresh, locally produced food to residents who live in a community that is characterized as an urban “food desert” and it will offer farmers a new arena to expand the sale of their produce. As part of a broader effort in the City of Baltimore to address economic disparities among neighborhoods, this farmers’ market will also support long-term and sustained community revitalization.
